Re: All Access Education Pass Expiration?
Hi Tiffany Stavinoha - Apologies for the delay, just now seeing this question. Your pass is valid for one year from the date of activation and is, of course, renewable. If you did not already determine the expiration date of your pass, you can contact the Eloqua University Help Desk at eloqua-university_ww@oracle.com.
Re: What does the "default" choice do in Forms Processing when mapping content fields?
Hi Nora - thanks for your quick answer. Now I understand where to find the default configuration for each contact field. This was exactly what I was looking for!

Re: Is there a trick to formatting Field Merges?
I used John Harringtons advice above to change the color of a field merge in a email. It's working great in the actual email template, but when I send myself a test the font goes back to the original color. Has anyone else run into that issue? Or have any idea how to solve it?
Thanks!
Re: "Include List-Unsubscribe header" in email sending options
Here is an update from Ken Carneiro
Hi, All. Here are some UNOFFICIAL details (so please don't take it as gospel). When we have official documentation, which will be soon, it will be posted in the Release Resource Center.
Goal:
Ability to facilitate automatic unsubscribes via the “List Unsubscribe” header in web-based mail.
Background:
Gmail is making their native unsubscribe functionality much more prominent, placing their “unsubscribe” link right after the “from” name in the Gmail interface. Previously it was typically hidden in a dropdown menu. As before, Gmail only adds the native “unsubscribe” link to emails that include the “List-Unsubscribe" header and—critically—only if the sender already has a great sender reputation. Being marked as spam has the power to drop your deliverability rates dramatically compared with being unsubscribed. Including this link will increase a sender’s deliverability rates and now considered best practice. More information:https://support.google.com/mail/answer/81126?hl=en#unsub
What is the “List-Unsubscribe header” seen on the email step in campaign canvas?
When checked, the List-Unsubscribe field describes the command (preferably using mail) to directly unsubscribe the user (removing him/her from the list). Gmail looks specifically for the “List-Unsubscribe” header to display this new unsubscribe link. Gmail is verifying that the email senders are who they say they are and a trusted company that sends emails. Once verified, Gmail will act on the specified function and will ask the user if he/she wanted to visit the URL to unsubscribe.
From Gmail:
Because Gmail can help users automatically unsubscribe from your email, we strongly recommend the following:
• Provide a 'List-Unsubscribe' header which points to an email address or a URL where the user can unsubscribe easily from future mailings. (Note: This is not a substitute method for unsubscribing.)
Why include “List-Unsubscribe header”?
When a recipient attempts to unsubscribe in Gmail or Hotmail using the List Unsubscribe header, the message which is sent back is blank and only contains header information, none of which identifies the original sender, campaign, etc. This provides a number of issues which include Eloqua campaign specific information would not be available for reporting purposes, contacts would only be globally unsubscribed instead of unsubscribed at the email group level, etc.
How do I enable this setting?
Option 1: Go to your email configurations and check the box “Add List-Unsubscribe header to outbound campaign emails (default)”. This will check the “Include List-Unsubscribe header” by default on all campaign email steps. You can manually deselect this for each email step.
Option 2: Enable this for each individual email by clicking the box for “Include List-Unsubscribe header” in the sending options email step on the campaign canvas.
Thanks,
Ken

Hi Felicia,
could you post a screenshot of the html code that is used in your email, please?
Many thanks and best regards,

Re: Is there a trick to formatting Field Merges?
For the first part, try this:
<span style="font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;color:rgb(255,128,64);">Hello <span class="eloquamail" style="font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;color:rgb(255,128,64);">FirstName</span>, and welcome!</span>
The second part is quite messy in terms of html. Give it a try with the following:

Campaign Action to "send to another segment"
Is this scenario possible in Eloqua 10?
After a decision' condition is met (the condition isn't material to the scenario), a different contact than the one matching the condition will be sent an email. The other contact could be fixed, but more scenarios would be possible if the "other" contact was based on the contact currently being evaluated.
For context, the scenario is that a customer has completed a form that needs to be evaluated by our third party who has no access to our Eloqua instance.
Thanks!
Re: Is there a trick to formatting Field Merges?
It worked! I am not a code expert by any means and this was driving me up the wall. Thanks so much for your help!

Re: People not moving forward from an Email Step
To keep Campaigns cleaner, we exclude these groups (hard bounces, global unsubscribe, master exclude) in all our segments. Then no one gets "stuck" in the steps.
Re: Trying to view data cards at the contact level in E10
Hopefully Eloqua will add something under the contact level like they had in E9. This is the same process we use but it's especially tedious if there's multiple CDO sets.
Confused about Querying Webinars Dynamically
Here's our situation, we have a weekly webinar that's on at the same day and time. I've create a recurring webinar in GoToWebinar and people are registered using the Form Tools - Running a Cloud Connector via Form Processing Step. They are then added to a Custom Object when they register. I don't use a campaign or program builder for this, it's just straight form processing steps and the cloud connector. This part works great but I'm having a hard time getting the attendance information back into the Custom Object.
I have followed the steps here: Event / Webinar Cloud Apps - Querying Dynamically but you need to run this cloud connector from Program Builder but program builder does not accept Program Feeders sourced from Custom Objects so I added them manually and they just got stuck in the Cloud Connector Query step.
I also tried to run it from a Campaign but nothing was updated. I feel like I'm missing something but I've re-read all the materials and the comments and haven't come up with anything.
Does anyone have any ideas of where to start troubleshooting with this?
Can a user remove past reports in Engage? How is this managed.
We have an individual that does a lot of training in Engage. He uses the reporting to show the details of what is tracked in the tool. He ends up sending several emails a week that are for training purposes and then showing our sales reps the reports page. He is now getting to have a pretty long list of emails sent and reports in the system. I need to know if there is a way to remove old email reports from Engage so that his list isn't so exhaustive. Any idea how to remove these old reports?
Re: Problems using Chrome after upgrading to v37
I am having the same problem - and now Firefox has known errors in version 31, and when I download FF28, it automatically updates and you cannot stop it.
Re: Parent / Child lead management
Hi Shane,
I've done a lot with Parent / Child campaigns in SFDC. One thing we did was set up in the type pull down menu "Tactic".
Each Business Unit had a global parent campaign - under which the regions would set up their own campaigns. It would look something like this:
Parent Campaign Name: Product A 2014
Campaign Name: Product A 2014_Campaign Name_Region_Quarter
Parent Campaign Name: Product B 2014
Campaign Name: Product B 2014_Campaign Name_Region_Quarter
To associate tactics (email, social, advertising, etc.) we first created a taxonomy:
Email = Email
Advertising Online = AdvO
Advertising Social = AdvS
Telemarketing = Tele
You get the idea.
To associate the tactics to the campaigns you have to make the campaign name the parent campaign (this is where it can seem confusing):
Parent Campaign Name: Product A 2014_Campaign Name_Region_Quarter
Campaign Name: Product A 2014_Campaign Name_Tactic_Email_Region_Quarter
I'm happy to share more detailed examples of campaigns with up to 15+ tactics as well as our taxonomy.
Regards,
Marie
